Change of Plans for UFC 200

The Conor McGregor retirement tweet was a clear power play that backfired. Dana White, the UFC president scrapped the rematch between Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor and instead replaced it with the also highly anticipated bout between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier. Even though this fight won’t draw as much attention as the original bout, it will continue as the plan for UFC 200. Conor has since announced that he isn’t retired and the fight between himself and Nate Diaz will likely take place at a later time. Dana made the right decision in treating all fighters equally and ensuring that McGregor does his future
 press obligations.
